NEO-ARK Law Firm's Yu Yuting Invited to Give a Full English Lecture on Chinese Labour Contract Law at Guangdong Israel Institute of Technology (GIIT)

On 18 October 2024, Yu Ting Yu of NEO-ARK Law Firm was invited to Guangdong Israel Institute of Technology (GIIT) to give a lecture on Chinese labour contract law to foreign professors and project managers of the university. The lecture was conducted in full English and aimed to help expatriate faculty and staff of Guangdong-Israel Institute of Technology (GIIT) to better understand and apply the laws and regulations of China's labour law.

The seminar was held in the conference room of the Innovation Centre of Guangdong Israel Institute of Technology (GIIOT) and was attended by about 40 expatriate professors and project leaders. Attorney Yu Yuting introduced the core contents of the Labour Contract Law with her rich professional knowledge and practical experience. Using the story of Company A and employee Ben, Ms. Yu explained in depth the rights and obligations and considerations of the labour contract from signing, performance to termination.

Combined with practical cases, attorney Yu analysed the problems and solutions that may be encountered at different stages of the labour contract, which enabled the staff to have a more intuitive understanding of the practical application of China's Labour Contract Law.

In addition, for the target and theme of this seminar, attorney Yu especially stressed the importance of teacher ethics education, and combined with the legal perspective, he also talked about the relevant legal provisions on sexual harassment and job offences. He called on legal practitioners and educators to work hand in hand to maintain the harmony and stability of the campus environment.

The lecture ended with a Q&A session, in which professors raised legal issues they encountered in their projects or in their lives, and attorney Yu gave professional answers and legal advice.

After the lecture, there was a warm response from the audience, and Guangyi faculty and staff expressed that they had benefited a lot from the lecture. The seminar not only deepened their understanding of China's labour contract law, but also provided strong legal protection for their future work and project promotion.

Neo-Ark Executive Director Minghong Liu Appointed to the 8th Council of the Constitutional Law Research Association of Guangdong Law Society

On September 27, 2025, the General Election Meeting of the Constitutional Law Research Association of the Guangdong Law Society (GDSLS) was successfully convened in Guangzhou. The event was hosted by the School of Law and the Center for Hong Kong and Macao Studies at South China University of Technology.

During this session, the 8th Council of the association was officially elected. Mr. Minghong Liu, Executive Director and Senior Partner of Neo-Ark Law Firm, was honorably appointed as a Council Member of the 8th Council of the Constitutional Law Research Association of the Guangdong Law Society.

Attorneys Xiaofeng Liang and Yuting Yu Invited to Deliver Keynote on Navigating Legal Challenges

Recently, our firm’s Xiaofeng Liang and Yuting Yu were invited to deliver a legal seminar to representatives from numerous companies. The seminar focused on two key areas: legal risks associated with expanding into overseas markets and the prevention and control of labour and employment risks, with the aim of enhancing corporate managers’ legal awareness and compliance capabilities.

Themed "Legal Guide for Enterprises Expanding Overseas" , Ms Yuting Yu drew upon her own experience in providing cross-border legal services to explain common risk areas — such as intellectual property protection, employment regulations, data compliance and dispute resolution — across various forms of overseas expansion. Ms Yu also analysed legal issues and response strategies for popular overseas markets in Europe, the US and Southeast Asia, using real-life case studies to illuminate the legal path for enterprises venturing abroad.

Xiaofeng Liang delivered a lecture entitled ‘Risk Prevention and Control in Corporate Employment Practices in Light of the Latest Judicial Interpretation on Labour Disputes (II)’. Focusing on the‘ Interpretation (II) of the Supreme People’s Court on Issues Concerning the Application of Law in the Trial of Labour Dispute Cases’ , which came into force on 1 September 2025, Ms Liang provided an in-depth analysis of its key provisions, including their implications for social security contributions and the payment of double wages. Furthermore, she outlined the legal risks faced by enterprises during the‘ recruitment and hiring’ process and offered detailed risk prevention and control measures to assist companies in establishing harmonious and stable labour relations.
